Angela Hernandez is the senior associate attorney with Schillinger and Associates, PLLC. Angela focuses her practice on criminal defense while handling matters in all the firm’s practice areas. Ms. Hernandez is an experienced litigator with a broad knowledge base. In addition to defending individuals who have been accused of a crime, she also represents people in serious civil litigation, including personal injury matters, guardian ad litem proceedings, estate matters, and on appeal. Angela's clients routinely compliment her on her ability to hear them and understand their concerns. She is a dedicated and hard-working attorney with a passion for justice and a commitment to client service.
As a long-term capital region resident, Angela earned her undergraduate degree from University at Albany, and then graduated from Albany Law School. While attending law school, she served on the Government Law Review and was active on the Student Bar Association and with the American Bar Association. Additionally, she advocated for families and individuals who have legal issues stemming from medical conditions through Albany Law School's Health Law Clinic. Angela also participated in Albany Law School's Justice Center Mediation Clinic and is a certified Mediator in New York State. Prior to joining the firm, Angela began her career in general practice, including handling cases in criminal law, trusts and estates, and real estate matters, throughout the capital region.
Angela is admitted to practice law in New York State and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.
